MDE must protect residents and workers with new standards at CSX coal terminal

CCBA, along with the Environmental Integrity Project and the South Baltimore Community Land Trust submitted comments calling upon MDE to establish new standards at the CSX coal terminal operating less than 1,000 feet from our recreation center and homes in Curtis Bay. Our comments identify the inadequacy of what CSX has proposed and provide a concrete set of changes that would do good in the immediate term for our health as we work towards a just transition away from coal to a safer material.

We have requested support from our state and city representatives to do their part to ensure that the attached comments are integrated into the final plans approved by MDE. Please sign on now to join the call

best,
CCBA
